Freelance Designer regio Antwerpen
I lately worked with the company UNROUNDS, UN Studio with the view to pilot-launch in the Antwerp, Belgium in 2017. Generate several design strategy with innovative and unique creative concept and jewellery design: taking the provided project information and building a jewellery concept and final design that will be presented to the Un Studio team in the form of sketches for approval/refinement before final renders are created. . The collection was shown in Antwerp at the Fosbury&Sons this June 2017.
During the past years I have been working to open my ’eenmanszaak’ 'Manuela Addonizio Jewelry / Manuela Design' in Antwerpen, Belgium, as Concept and Jewellery designer and Production of Jewellery.
During this time I have been carrying on with the design and realization of my first jewellery pieces. I conceived a collection in silver 925 and yellow and pink gold-plated inspired from the previously idea designed during my Ma course. As well as this, I have been working on the design and prototype of silver jewellery chains elements mixed with nylon and acrylic elements realized by 3D print and laser cutting techniques.
Over the past years I have managed to predict and interpret seasonable trends, developing effective design working trough hand drawing and model-making skills as well as using software such us, Adobe (Illustrator CS5, Photoshop CS5) and CAD:
Strong artistic and realistic hand rendering, strong interpretation in 2d artworks, good 3d modelling
Strong interpretation of brand’s DNA into the products
My abilities to create new concepts, shape and colourful compositions in jewellery collections design, to think three dimensionally, to work in a team, to respect meetings and deadlines, to work under pressure, along with good presentation and organizational skills make me a valuable collaborator.
I previously graduated from Central Saint Martins College, in London, where I attended the MA Design: Jewellery course, 2009-2011.Dynamism, flow and playfulness were the key words of my research.
Afterwards in 2012 I took part as guest and speaker at ‘The future of tradition’ Event, at the LVHM House, in London to discuss and share this challenging theme with senior executives and designers.
After my BA course at the “Istituto Europeo di Design” (IED), in Rome, in 2001-2004_ I had various working experiences, in particular with the Italian jewellery firm CASATO in Rome, and SUPERORO, based in Vicenza , Italy.
I Developed for SUPERORO a new collection, in yellow and white gold. The collection is named 'Rome' and was shown in 'Vicenza gold' and “Basel world” fair edition 2004-2005.
I Conceived instead for CASATO a new line of style with a new concept for modern and elegant jewellery for contemporary tastes. Target: High market segment. The products represented by diamonds, semiprecious stones, white and yellow gold was named "RIO" and was shown in "VICENZA ORO" fair, 2005-2006.
