Telecommunication Commissioning Supervisor - Antwerpen

This role focuses on ensuring that all Telecommunications are correctly set in service, and validated according to design specifications, procedures, schematics, and operational requirements, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of the facility.

Job Description:

Commissioning Planning

• Develop comprehensive loop checks / interfaces plans with all equipment, outlining objectives, procedures, and schedules for testing and validation.
• Develop the pre-commissioning & commissioning schedule to set in service all systems related to Telecommunications.
• Collaborate with project engineers and other disciplines to ensure all commissioning activities are integrated into the overall project schedule.
• Review Vendors SAT / Procedures / Reports for testing.

Testing and Verification:

• Assist Telecommunications Contractor, Subcontractor’ SAT, and testing of systems, including their interfaces, and loop checks.
• Supervise Telecommunications integration tests to ensure that systems operate correctly and safely.

Test Procedure Development:

• Create and / or review SAT, pre-commissioning and commissioning test procedures (CTPs), ensuring they are detailed and comply with industry standards, specifications, and Contract with the Client.
• Ensure that test procedures are clear and provide specific instructions for conducting tests safely and e#ectively.
• Determine temporary system requirements to enable commissioning testing
• Prepare schedules for Contractor, and Vendor testing, assistance and support
• Determine plant, equipment, tools and specialist tool requirements for commissioning

Issue Identification and Troubleshooting:

• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues that arise during the precommissioning and commissioning process, working closely with other Site disciplines to implement solutions.
• Document any discrepancies from design specifications in Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and coordinate corrective actions.

Job Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Commissioning Supervisor or Specialist within the petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy chemical industry
• Deep technical knowledge of industrial telecom and security systems including PAGA, CCTV, Access Control, Fiber Optics, LAN/WAN, and Radio Systems
• Proven hands-on experience executing and supervising loop checks, Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and complex system-to-system interfaces
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering documents, wiring schematics, P&IDs, and system architectures
• Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot, diagnose, and document technical issues or system discrepancies
• Full professional proficiency in English (written and verbal), with knowledge of Dutch considered a strong asset
• A proactive attitude toward safety regulations, backed by a valid VCA Petrochemie certificate or equivalent
