Our client in the Consulting and Audit sector is seeking an Application Tester/Automation Engineer M/F.
Job Description:
Client in the public sector in Belgium.
At our client's organization, the management of cross-functional software solutions is organized within service centers. The Case Management Service Center (CSGD) is tasked with managing technical platforms, implementing, and ensuring the follow-up of service catalogs for various software solutions.
Currently managed software solutions include:
Alfresco for document management (ECM)
Pega for case management (ACM = Adaptive Case Management)
CSGD is responsible for implementing and monitoring services related to these software solutions.
The ACM team currently consists of functional analysts, an architect, Pega experts, a scrum master, testers, a product owner, and project/program managers. An Agile approach based on Scrum is currently used.
The mission is to strengthen the CSGD team as an "automation" application tester for the ACM domains, specifically the SAMPO application. This is a one-year mission with potential extension.
Objectives:
CSGD's objectives are as follows:
Improve the quality of services offered to the business.
Increase efficiency by reducing the turnaround time for these services.
Activities:
The implementation of ACM business applications (specifically "SAMPO - financial aid" in this case) must be thoroughly tested and resilient before allowing end users (business) to conduct their tests.
To achieve this, the service center aims to strengthen the team with an application tester. The individual must have a strong functional and technical understanding, excellent writing skills, the ability to automate tests, and the ability to transfer skills.
The person will be part of the current business application's SCRUM team and will primarily collaborate with the existing tester and the CTM (business test coordinator), as well as the rest of the team.
The tester may also act as the business test coordinator ONLY when the need arises.
Specifically, the tasks for this role will include (non-exhaustive list):
Develop compliance and non-regression test plans (potentially integrity, load, and performance) for the business application developed within the ACM cross-platform.
Write test scenarios in Xray (JIRA).
Verify that functional requirements/specifications have been correctly implemented.
Plan, automate, and execute these test plans and write/generate test reports.
Collect anomalies/non-compliances and communicate them to the responsible team.
Monitor anomalies and non-compliances.
Compare service documentation, especially error management, with test reports.
Assist the business in creating test cases and support them in their execution (in support of the existing CTM if needed).

Ability to understand technical aspects and convey them in writing in a simple and understandable way.
Ability to execute tests using a dedicated testing environment (e.g., SOAPUI) and understand its technical aspects.
Ability to fit into a context using a package, with a methodology, governance, and best practices, especially in the case of a case management package (Pega).
Knowledge of JIRA and Xray.
Knowledge of SCRUM (agility).
Essential Competencies/Qualities:
Compliance testing, test scenario, test report writing, test automation, technical and functional understanding, French.
Desirable Competencies/Qualities:
4 years of experience in a similar role.
Past experience in the public service.
